Notary Fees:
Standard Notarization Fee(s):
- KY Notarization: $5.00 per signer per notarized signature.
- IN Notarization: $10.00 per signer per notarized signature.
All signers/witnesses must have valid identification issued by the federal government or any state government, containing their photograph and signature.
If identification is not available a credible identifying witness who has identification is required.
Standard Mobile Notarization Travel Fees:
The following fees are base travel charges to meet you at a location within 25 miles of 312 S. 4th St. Louisville, KY 40202. Locations beyond 25 miles may incur a mileage surcharge. This charge is separate from the Standard Notary Fees. Appointments are scheduled for 30 minute increments. (Excluding Real Estate Closings)

- Weekday $40.00: Mon-Fri 9am - 6pm.
- Nights and Weekends $45.00: Mon-Fri 6pm-10pm & Sat -Sun 9am-10pm
- Early Bird/Overnight Surcharge $15.00: Before 9am and after 10pm.
- National Holiday Surcharge $20.00: Service on a Nationally Recognized Holiday.
- Mileage Surcharge (>25 miles) $1.00 per mile: A mileage surcharge is applied when a customer-designated location for service is greater than 25 miles from 312 S. 4th St. Louisville, KY. Charged at $1.00 per mile (one way). This charge is separate from Standard Notary Fees.
- Extended Appointment Time (each 15 minute segment) $15.00: Appointments are scheduled for 30 minutes (unless otherwise noted in the estimate or invoice). Appointments extending beyond the scheduled time will incur a $15.00 surcharge, applied at the beginning of each additional 15 minute segment. This charge is separate from the Standard Notary Fees.
- Airport Emergency Notarization: $75.00 Travel + Standard Notary Fee(s) *Please contact to schedule
- Toll Charges – $ variable $ Highway tolls charges incurred (round trip) are billed as a Travel Charge. This charge is separate from the Standard Notary Fees.

- Weekends $20.00: Sat - Sun 9am - 6pm.
- Holiday Surcharge $20.00: Service on a Nationally Recognized Holiday

- Witness Fee: $30 per witness provided by Black Ink Notary. (Please provide 24-48 hr. notice when requesting.)
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation charges are not statutory fees and are listed separately from Standard Notary Fees.
- Customer Late Cancellation
Cancellations made less than two hours from the scheduled appointment time will incur a cancellation charge equaling the full amount of the associated office or travel charges, as documented in the estimate or invoice.
- Customer No-Show
A customer who is a no-show to a scheduled appointment will incur a cancellation charge equaling the full amount of the associated office or travel charges, as documented in the estimate or invoice.
- Customer Proof of Identity Issue
Kentucky and Indiana have specific identification requirements to all signing parties participating in a notarization transaction. Inability to complete a scheduled transaction, due to any signer identification issue (no valid identification credential issued by the federal government or any state government, containing their photograph and signature / inability to provide a credible identifying witness, etc.) will incur a cancellation charge equaling the full amount of the associated office or travel charges, as documented in the estimate or invoice.
- Customer Late Arrival
Appointments are scheduled for 30 minutes, unless otherwise noted on the estimate or invoice. The late arrival of a customer which prevents a transaction from completing within the scheduled time frame (and the appointment cannot be extended, due to other scheduled appointments) will incur a cancellation charge equaling the full amount of the associated office or travel charges, as documented in the estimate or invoice.
- Customer Failure to Complete Transaction
Any scheduled transaction that fails to complete, due to the unwillingness or inability of a customer to complete the transaction (including not having qualified witnesses available, when required), will incur a cancellation charge equaling the full amount of the associated office or travel charges, as documented in the estimate or invoice.
**Black Ink Notary reserves the right to refuse jobs based on weather conditions or safety.**
